“Painting is poetry that is seen rather than felt, and poetry is painting that is felt rather than seen. ”

ARTIST STATEMENT

The expressions that I capture from my muses individually are unique and intuitive. I love interpreting the beauty in my objects and places. My portrait and figurative work captures the light and beauty that resonates from within. Women are inspirational, resilient warriors that overcome anything physical and spiritual.

The quest to create, allows me to be innovative with a variety of styles, techniques and layering mediums (oils, acrylics, inks, charcoal, oil crayons, resin, collaging with washi and origami paper) then, accentuating my masterpiece with a shimmering light of gold & silver. Each brush stroke and placement of the palette knife sparks magic onto the canvas.

My current series is the culmination of abstracts & portraiture, mixed media and the fusion of modern and vintage art. The harmonizing and exploration of all these elements transforms the interpretation of feminine empowerment.

"I love your art! You have a way of capturing the beauty and strength of a woman in your wonderful paintings."
